Using DropTask for Outlook
DropTask for Outlook allows you to turn actionable emails into tasks within DropTask, so you can work seamlessly between managing your incoming responsibilities and taking action to get things done.
1. Once installed, the DropTask icon will appear in your Outlook Menu bar.
2. To start sending your email to DropTask, select DropTask from your tool bar. You will be prompted to login.
Sending Emails from Outlook to DropTask
When you transform an email from Outlook into DropTask, the email subject will automatically become the task title and the body of the email will become the task description.
Multiple task creation
With the ability to select and transform up to 50 emails at once, you really can save time and manage your mail when you integrate your Outlook account with DropTask. To select multiple emails at once, simple hold down the ‘Ctrl’ button on your keyboard while selecting the emails you wish to send to DropTask. Alternatively, select all emails from a folder by holding down ‘Ctrl’ and the letter ‘A’ on your keyboard.
Categorise your Emails
You can choose to send your email as a task to your existing DropTask Projects. You also have the ability to create a New Project to send your emails to. By sending your Outlook emails into your existing Projects and Categories, you’ll maintain your organisation and be one step ahead of your tasks.
If you’re a DropTask Business user, when you select an email to send to DropTask, any attachments will automatically be sent as well. You can easily remove attachments and choose which ones you would like to send by ticking and unticking individual items from the attachment selection box. Please note that the maximum attachment size is 20MB, and any attachments that exceed this limit will not be sent.
